Testing And Launching Your New Website – Part 3

testing and launching your website

This is the most exciting and also most frustrating part as a web developer. When you arrive at the testing and launching phase you are almost done. You are near the finish line, there is the light at the end of the tunnel and you cant wait to receive that final check from the client…

We can increase this list to include 100 bullet points. At some point, you need to accept that the project is done. Stop testing, and send it to the client. I promise the client will say something like:

‘I love it…but could you just fix this one last thing?’

It’s okay if it’s not perfect before you launch your project. You’re looking at it under 100x magnification and seeing all the imperfections up close. No one else will see those, and it’s all in your head!

It’s Okay To Stop Testing and Launch The Website

Be clear with your client and confident that you are shipping a well-thought-out, tested, and designed product. This is also a good time to ask if they would like to keep you on for routine maintenance after launch Maybe through a monthly subscription for your services?!

Overall, the testing and launch phase is a test of your confidence and pride in your work. You’ve made it this far, so take those skills and experiences forward to serve your next client. I promise you will be amazed at how simple it gets over time.
